This is where you can learn more about me, the website creator (he/they). I am a beginner in both web design and creative writing, but I do know a few things about both! I am really into the dream/surreal core scene and always wanted to build a world that centered itself using the physics of dreams and the liminality of the Backrooms. Other than creative writing, I am passionate about human rights issues, including but not exclusively trans rights and disability justice, with a strong focus on the entanglement of different forms of systemic oppression (inseparable and connected with one another). Through discovering Web Design from Luvstar on YouTube and Neocities through local friends, I found out how sites can be an immaculate tool for storytelling. I cannot promise I am anywhere near the skills of a next "Welcome Home" ARG or any complex ARG for that manner, but I hope you will stick around to see updates from time to time. This is my soul project, and I hope you enjoy it as it as much as I enjoy creating it.
It may be obvious, but I am a novice to website creation. More importantly, this website allows me to tell stories without worry about sticking to a specific schedule or catering to an internet algorithm. All of this aside, the main reason for my website is that I love creative writing but felt I didn't have the skills to write a full novel yet. You can read more about my creative project below! In addition, there will be parts of the website dedicated as a hub for my own educational pursuits, which can be found under MystLinks. There, you will (in time) find external information about Project Sparklr lore.
Project Sparklr is a nonlinear story that focuses on a specific dream dimension where lucidity is a disease and uncanny creatures scatter around land. Sparklr will showcase itself as a collection of narratives in a myriad of ways like (fictive) informational posts, character descriptions, short stories and more. It will be made clear what parts of the website are part of Sparklr. For example, the Home page, About page, and Myst Links are not exclusively a part of Project Sparklr.
